The crowds were thick for the parade yesterday.
We always sit on the corner across from the Opera House, where the VAAM Gallery is located.
Here is McPherson's high school band. Note the Clan MacPherson tartan.
The kindergarten float from Dylan's school. The woman in the photo was Dylan's kindergarten/first grade teacher and is a real sweetie.
We walked home after the parade and I couldn't resist photographing some flowers in the garden.
This is allium, related to chives and garlic.
Job's tears, at least that's what I call them. These came from my grandmother's garden.
We had a lovely morning at the parade, then went to the home of some dear friends where we were poolside for a barbecue and stayed til after 10 p.m. A great day, a wonderful celebration, and I'm only a little sunburned!

Sounds like a really great day. My alliums are just coming out, glad you had so much fun!
Looks like you had a great day Susan. The flower photos are lovely - I love irises. I think the Job's tears are known as Jacob's Ladder here.
I don't think we do parades as well as you guys! I say that without including the Bridgwater Carnival which is fab, but at night (it's all about the lights and the music and the dancing...). Glad you had a good day :-)
