mother's day

Yesterday was Mother's Day in the US. We actually celebrated on Saturday night, since that's when everybody could get together. Fine with me--left Sunday afternoon available for napping! We had dinner at a great Chinese buffet restaurant, then went to Hobby Lobby (my favorite) where I exercised amazing restraint (for me).

We also went to Wal-Mart and purchased two of these, only in pink, for my studio. They're nice and roomy and will help me remain organized.

Last night my future daughter-in-law brought me a beautiful bouquet of purple iris and white bridal wreath spirea from her garden. It was very sweet and I was touched.

I have been known to buy things like that! I hope yours serve you better than mine! At the moment, I'm trying open trays, but we'll see how it goes... (when I can finally put them on the shelves...) Glad you had a nice day. Even with our own day, I don't think they really appreciate us!!
